I love Splat the Cat books and this one is extra fun since it has special pages that lift up to reveal more surprises!  The class wants to make a special Valentine's Day card for the teacher.  Splat is working hard and comes up with something really nice.  I Rated This Book:  4/5 Stars.

It's the perfect day . . . until Mia finds out that the box of chocolates was actually a Valentine's Day present for her mom. Uh-oh!

Can Mia make up for the mix-up before the day is over?

My Thoughts
This book comes with a full page of stickers that you can use to make your own valentines.  The three girls are all excited about their party and sharing their valentine's.  Mia doesn't realize the nice box of chocolates sitting on the counter are for her mother, so she shares them with her friends-and they eat them all.  Now what will her father give to her mother for Valentine's Day?  I Rated This Book:  4/5 Stars.

When My Baby Dreams Of Fairy Tales by Adele Enerson
Hardcover, 48 Pages
Fiction/Ages 4-8
$15.99

Synopsis:

Once upon a time,

Mila dreamed she was a princess dressed in pink . . .

or perhaps Goldilocks,

or even Little Red Riding Hood.

When Mila dreams, she dreams in fairy tales, and all her wishes come true.

This imaginative journey through the dreamscapes of a newborn is a story of faraway kingdoms, enchanted forests, and above all, the love between a mother and her daughter.

When Adele Enersen's daughter, Mila, was born, Adele started a blog of whimsical baby photos to share with her friends and family. Very quickly that blog, milasdaydreams.blogspot.com, boomed into a destination for millions of admirers around the world and also became a book called When My Baby Dreams. A former copywriter and concept designer in advertising, Adele now spends her days photographing Mila and imagining new dreamscapes for her growing daughter.

My Thoughts
A nice story of a baby dreaming of fairy tales with very adorable photos of her daughter acting out the stories!  I've never seen a book like this before but I hope there will be many more.  It is very creative!  I Rated This Book:  5/5 Stars.

Fancy Nancy:  Nancy Clancy, Secret Admirer by Jane O'Connor, illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser
Hardcover, 128 Pages
Fiction/Ages 6-10
$9.99

Synopsis:

Nancy Clancy and her best friend, Bree, have love on the brain—after all, they're learning about the human heart in science class!

But when the girls decide to play matchmaker, nothing works out as planned.

So the big question is: Will love conquer all?

Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser are the author and illustrator of the #1 New York Times bestselling Fancy Nancy series. Jane lives with her family in New York City. Robin lives with her family in Southern California.  Visit them online at fancynancyworld.com.

My Thoughts
This is a nice story for the older kids, with more pages and fewer illustrations.  Nancy and Bree decide to become matchmakers, but it isn't as easy as they think it will be.  After all their hard work, will Annie and Dave get together?  I Rated This Book:  4/5 Stars.
