20 Mule Team Borax Review & Giveaway-CLOSED

Some of you may have heard of the natural laundry detergent booster--20 Mule Team Borax, or Borax for short--namely those who are older than their 20's.  My mother used it off and on when I was young and I myself used it on occasion over the years.

It helps to soften hard water, making your detergent clean better.  I have tested our water and know that it is considered 'hard' and see the tell-tale signs on the bathtubs and toilets--the dreaded rust colored rings that are almost impossible to get rid of.

Borax (sodium tetraborate) is 100% natural mineral that has been washed, dried, and boxed.  It can be used for more than laundry also!  It does wonders on cleaning toilets and dishes, while keeping the spots away.  I ran out of rinse agent and decided to give it a try--the dishes were very clean and hardly any spots on them at all.

It dissolves completely and has no scent, but does help to get rid of the funky smell toilets seem to get all the time.  I have been using it every few days in the downstairs bathroom and have been completely satisfied with the results.

So, it is a laundry booster, helps clean, removes stains, and seems to help control odor.  All that in a 4 pound box for only $3.50 is a pretty good deal.  It can also be used for garbage disposals and on carpets and rugs and is safe for both standard and HE washers.

There is a contest going on right now from the makers of Borax--Borax Fresh Year, Fresher Laundry, where you can enter to win $1,500 or FREE Borax.  You can enter daily by first 'liking' the Borax Facebook page and coming back to enter each day.  The contest ends on February 22, 2013.  Good luck!
