I love to paint my toenails, but my fingernails, not so much. I used to when I was younger, but in my older years I've gotten a bit lazy. Thanks to Sally Hansen I can still paint my toenails and even my fingernails now, and not have to worry about 'going out of the lines', waiting for the polish to dry, chipping, smudging, etc. Why is that? Because now there is an easy and perfect polish every time with Salon Effects. These are real nail polish strips that you peel and place onto your nail. It's almost fool proof.
The first thing you do is prepare your nails by cleaning and drying. Then you select the size strip to fit each nail and then go ahead and peel off the clear protective plastic cover. Peel off the strip from the backing paper, break off the silver tab and apply against your cuticle line. It's recommended to hold the strip at the center for maximum control. Press strip to your nail and gently stretch and smooth for a perfect fit. Then run the flat side of the cuticle stick (included) along the edge of strip to securely bond it to the nail. Smooth any excess over the nail edge and gently file away using the light pink side of file (again, included in kit). To remove strips, just use nail polish remover as you would normally.
It says that these will last 10 days, but it has lasted a lot longer than that on my toes! I also used less strips because I could do several nails with one strip. The style I have is 360: Laced Up, which looks like a nude/cream base with black lace over top. Oh, for those interested, Salon Effects does NOT contain DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde. There are 40 styles to choose from with a retail price of $9.99. It can be purchased at drug, mass merchandise and food stores nationwide.
